Red Weigela grows to about six feet to eight feet tall. It is usually found in more areas protected from the scorching heat of the summer sun. Weigela flowers can get burnt if exposed to the sun. Black spots can be found on the flowers if left under the heat.

Spiraca can be found planted in old homes. They can still be bought in nursery trades. The clusters of small flowers are delightful to see especially during the spring.
