It is such a frequent incidence that most of the women do not give it a second thought. Using vitamin supplements is generally a topic for debate, but doctors agree that it is vital for women who have conceived.

Calcium is required for the baby’s healthy and strong teeth and bones. The extra contribution of calcium stops the baby from drawing calcium from the mother’s bones.
Of course, needs are individual. If the mother is a vegetarian and has a low tolerance for certain foods, or is on a restricted diet for health reasons, prenatal vitamins can provide the mother and the baby the nutrients they need. Your doctor only could determine the exact vitamins you need. Some women ignore the use of prenatal vitamins and instead take a multivitamin. This is not going serve the purpose because multivitamins rarely contain the additional nutrients that a woman requires when she is pregnant.
